Oh, wie schön! Here in Münster, the sun is shining and...
the postman just brought me a big box containing lots and lots of corrugated
pack paper and a small pile of sample copies of "Wir vier aus der Ritterstraße".
I had the good fortune to illustrate this delightful and authentic tale comprised
of everyday childhood adventures as seen through the eyes of a 9 year old boy.
Maria Pauls wrote it and I did lots and lots of little illustrations.
I highly recommend it!

Tooting my own horn...

I'm excited to have finished the illustrations for my first children's book. Written by Andrea Erne and scheduled to be published by Carlsen Verlag in Germany in October, From Grain to Bread is an educational board book giving young children a glimpse at the steps involved before a loaf of bread lands on their table. Filled with fun and informative 'Lift-the-Flaps', it is for children aged 3 and up. If you're so inclined, you can find all of the information here.

This little guy will appear in my first published book which is scheduled to appear this fall. As he has only a very small supporting role on page 4, I'll be thrilled if he manages to get printed any taller than 1,5 cm.

My owl story is developing...

Owl is such a groovy shade of blue in the 2nd illustration because he has landed on the hood of a taxi and skidded into the windshield!
